In transition between then and when

The book is the result and a documentation of the project involving asylum seekers at Dikemark reception center in Asker, Norway summer 2016. During a six week period, I met with a group of residents, men between 17 and 60 years old, from 5 different countries. We met at the reception center each week to draw together. In my art studio, I processed the impressions from the time I spent at the reception center, and turned it into a series of drawings and texts. By doing art together and going through a creative process together, we got a shared experience that had a major impact on all involved, personally, artistically and, finally, by interacting with the public visiting the exhibition where the works were exhibited.
